Sunrise

The majestic glowing light

Waking the world from the night

Vibrant orange and soft pink

All hopeful spirits in sync

I hold fast to the present

This quiet peace most pleasant

Though this magic hour won’t last

A new day comes, we forget the past

Sunset

Bone weary, fatigued, and depleted

The world's life and brightness fleeted

Closely I watch the flaming sky

This radiant show of colored light

Enchanting, vivid, and golden

Healing all that is hurt and broken

All life settles without a peep
A weary sun’s off to sleep
